- Spark electrode positioned wrong.
- Spark electrode broken.
- Piezo igniter defective.
- Igniter cable not connected to spark electrode.

- Adjust spark gap and/or replace spark electrode.
- Replace spark electrode.
- Replace piezo igniter.
- Connect cable to spark electrode.

| Piezo igniter produces spark at the electrode when control knob is pressed in and turned counterclockwise but pilot does not ignite. |
- Gas supply turned off.
- Control knob not in pilot position.
- Control knob not pressed in while in pilot position.
- ODS pilot is clogged.
|
- Connect disposable cylinder or connect hose and turn on valve at remote cylinder.
- Turn control knob to pilot position.
- Press in control knob while in pilot postition.
- Clean ODS pilot. (see Page 8 of manual)

| ODS pilot lights but flame goes out when control knob is released. |
- Control knob not depressed long enough.
- Pilot flame not touching the thermocouple.
- Thermocouple damaged.
- Thermocouple connection loose at safety valve.
- Defective gas control unit.

- After ODS pilot lights, keep control knob depressed for approx. 30 seconds.
- Call a qualified service person.
- Replace thermocouple.
- Hand tighten until snug then tighten 1/4 turn with wrench.
- Replace gas control.

| Burner does not light after ODS pilot is lit. |
- Burner orfice is clogged.
|
- Clean burner orfice.
|
Burner plaque does not glow. |
- Plaque is damaged.
- Inlet gas pressure is too low.
- Control knob set between locked positions.

- Replace burner.
- Replace gas cylinder.
- Turn control knob until it locks at desired setting.
|
| Heater shuts off during operation. |
- Not enough fresh air is available.
- Low gas pressure.
- ODS pilot partially clogged.
- Tilt switch in trip angle.

- Open window.
- Replace gas cylinder.
- Clean the pilot.
- Reset tilt switch.
