Q: Can I use an extension cord to power my electric fireplace?
A: It is recommended that you do not use and extension cord, but if you have to, use a No. 14 AWG minimum size and rated not less than 1900 Watts.
The extension cord must be a three wire cord with grounding type plug and cord connector
Q: Can I operate my fireplace without the heat?
A: Our electric stoves and fireplaces can be operated with or without the heat, permitting year round use and enjoyment.
Q: How efficient is my electric fireplace?
A: Our fireplaces are 99% energy efficient.
Q: Why does it have to be on its own circuit?
A: When other appliances are on the same circuit it could cause the circuit breaker to trip or cause the fuse to blow when the heater is in operation.
Q: Is there any maintenance required with my fireplace?
A: These fireplaces require some normal maintenance. You may have to change the light bulbs. Cleaning of the fan/heater assembly is also
recommended regularly. There are complete instructions in the owners manual for both tasks.
Q: My remote control does not operate my fireplace?
A: Unplug your heater, take the batteries out of the remote control and wait 15 minutes to allow the unit to reset. Then reinstall your batteries in the
remote control and plug the heater back into the outlet. Point the remote directly at the unit and start to adjust the thermostat temperature. Make sure
you are hitting the button slowly and that you are allowing the unit to beep in between each degree change. There will always be a degree
difference between the remote and the room temperature. If problems persist contact customer service at 1-800-776-9425.
Q: What do I do if the heater was operating 15 minutes and then turned itself off?
A: Make sure the thermostat is turned up appropriately. If the problem does not resolve itself call our customer service department at 1-800-776-9425 for
troubleshooting and further assistance.
